Job Description

1. Senior technical product owner responsible for the end-to-end architecture and design of core silicon-based platforms and complex electronic systems.
2. Defines platform architecture and feature sets in line with product strategy, ensuring that solutions meet business and customer requirements for performance, scalability, and security.
3. Leads cross-functional engineering teams, orchestrating efforts across hardware, software, firmware, and other disciplines to deliver integrated, high-quality products.
4. Ensure optimal component selection and cost-effective design

Responsibilities

1. Define and own the system architecture for core silicon platforms and products, establishing technical standards and design guidelines that meet business objectives and customer needs.
2. Act as the technical Product Owner, translating product requirements into architecture and feature roadmaps.
3. Drive the technical roadmap for platform evolution in collaboration with product management and executive leadership.
4. Lead and coordinate cross-discipline engineering teams (hardware, software, firmware, mechanical, etc.), facilitating design reviews and resolving technical conflicts across functions.
5. Ensure cohesive system integration by navigating complex stakeholder ecosystems across engineering, product, and operations teams.
6. Oversee the final Bill of Materials (BOM) for products, making executive decisions on component selection and configurations.
7. Ensure that all system components and materials meet required specifications, quality standards, and cost targets, enabling efficient manufacturing and compliance with industry standards.
8. Ensure that architectural designs adhere to regulatory standards and quality benchmarks.
9. Support product validation and certification processes, and provide high-level troubleshooting guidance for complex system issues.
10. closely with stakeholders across the organization to communicate architectural decisions, project status, risks, and trade-offs effectively, and achieve alignment on technical solutions.

Technical Skills

1. Expertise in designing and overseeing complex hardware/software systems and SoC/silicon platform architectures. [ziprecruiter.com]
2. Strong background in embedded systems, microprocessors, and hardware-software co-design for core silicon platforms and electronic products.
3. Knowledge of full product lifecycle, Bill of Materials (BOM) management, design for manufacturability (DFM/DFx), and technical standards for EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industry.
4. Familiarity with modern semiconductor technologies, IoT, AI/ML, 5G, cloud computing and related hardware trends.

Tool Skills

1. Proficiency with system design/modeling tools and enterprise architecture frameworks for documenting architectures and interfaces.
2. Experience with electronic design automation (EDA) and simulation tools for silicon and hardware development.
3. Skilled in project collaboration and Product Lifecycle Management to manage requirements, track BOM, and coordinate cross-team workflows.

Special Requirements

1. Proven experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services or related hardware product manufacturing environments.
2. Willingness to travel as needed for project coordination and vendor/partner engagements.
