System Administrator

Our client is seeking a System Administrator to join their IT Operations team in Mumbai. In this role, you will support a fast-paced trading environment that demands high availability, reliability, and performance. You will play a key part in optimizing and standardizing the companys infrastructure while contributing creative, scalable solutions to technical challenges.

What you will do:

• Provide L1 support to internal teams for hardware and software implementation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Support onboarding activities for new employees, including device setup and user configuration.
• Perform on-site activities in local data centers as required.
• Conduct remote and on-site troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve production issues.
• Proactively identify potential system risks and implement long-term solutions.
• Perform periodic system audits to ensure compliance with security and industry standards.
• Automate, standardize, and document IT processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor system performance and capacity, managing hardware and software lifecycle planning.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers delivering IT solutions.

Who you are:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, ICT, or a related field.
• Experience working with Microsoft environments, including: Windows 11, Windows Server, Active Directory, Intune, Entra ID
• Experience setting up, maintaining, and supporting end-user IT equipment.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and Kerberos.
• Basic knowledge of Linux systems.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Bash) is a plus.
• Experience with virtualization platforms is advantageous.
• Hindi language skills are preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple cross-team projects through to successful completion.
• Reliable, accountable, and able to respond quickly in high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
