Provide 24/7 support for critical systems, troubleshooting issues and collaborating with application teams.

Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and managing Sybase ASE v16 in production & nonproduction environments.

Perform patching, version upgrades, and performance tuning of Sybase ASE databases.

Manage/troubleshoot Sybase Replication Server and configure Replication for high availability, disaster recovery and knowledge on heterogeneous replication setup.

Experience in database resync/re-initialization for warm standby/MSA and table level replication setups.

Replication server performance monitoring and tuning.

Dealing with replication latency, DSI and replication agent related issues.

Monitor database health, manage storage, and optimize indexes and partitions.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues at the L3/L4 level.

Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies using Sybase native Backup.

Ensure point-in-time recovery, disaster recovery (DR) testing, and high availability.

Troubleshoot database corruption and recover the user/system databases for any hardware/database failure.

Perform SQL tuning, query optimization, and index tuning for performance improvement.

Analyze and interpret Sysmon, Query Plans, Locks, Wait Events, and Deadlocks.

Optimize cache, memory, and storage configurations for peak database performance.

Knowledge on MDA tables to analyze system performance.

Configure Sybase database native encryption and auditing.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for Sybase ASE workloads.

Hands-on experience with ITIL processes for change, incident, and problem management.

Knowledge on licensing server, troubleshoot licensing issues and capacity planning for license usage.

Expertise in developing and maintaining Shell scripting, & SQL scripts for database automation.

Write shell scripts for database maintenance tasks and automate database monitoring and alerting.
