Deputy Manager / Manager SCM Formulations (Biotechnology & Capital Items Procurement Specialist)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SCM Capital Items Procurement Specialist with expertise in both Formulation and Biotechnology sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procuring key capital items such as Fermenters, Bioreactors, Centrifuge, Incubators, Filtration systems, Mixing vessels, Injectable lines, Lyophilizers, Autoclaves , Boilers, Chillers and biotechnology plant spares/consumables.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of critical capital equipment for both Formulation and Biotechnology sectors.
• Lead sourcing, purchasing, and ensure timely delivery of machinery and equipment.
• Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and vendors.
• Oversee procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
• Handle the financial management aspect of capital expenditures, including budgeting and cost control.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand equipment requirements and ensure on-time procurement.
• Ensure that equipment meets project timelines, quality standards, and organizational needs.

Qualifications

B.Tech / M Sc

10 to 15 years of experience in procurement, particularly within pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
