  • Define roles, responsibilities, technical standards, and performance expectations for the STAEE section.

Supplier Enablement, Manufacturing Feasibility & Technical Authority:

  • Lead manufacturing feasibility studies, DFM/DFA reviews, and process risk assessments for EE designs before supplier nomination, tooling, and PPAP.
  • Provide deep technical guidance to suppliers on PCBA manufacturing (SMT/THT), power electronics assembly, testing strategies, burn-in, reliability, and safety controls .
  • Enable suppliers to achieve process capability, yield stability, and repeatable quality , particularly during rapid scale-up.
  • Act as final technical authority for EE supplier readiness across chargers, rectifiers, SMPS, UPS, OV/UV protection modules, sensors, displays, and proprietary electronic assemblies .

Quality Compliance & Outcome-Based Governance

  • Act as the technical bridge between system design, supplier execution, and field performance in SMPLs live swap and charging network.
  • Participate in design, sourcing, and release gates to flag manufacturability, quality, safety, and scalability risks before design freeze and supplier nomination .

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Electrical / Electronics Engineering (mandatory).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12 - 15 years of experience in STA, Supplier Quality, EE Manufacturing Quality, or Supplier Development roles within automotive, EV, power electronics, or energy infrastructure domains.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in PCBA, power electronics, chargers, rectifiers, SMPS, UPS, OV/UV protection circuits, sensors, displays, and system-level EE integration .
  • Proven experience in manufacturing feasibility, SOR ownership, supplier technical enablement, and quality governance .
  • Deep working knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive-grade EE quality systems.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred (Green Belt minimum desirable).
  • Demonstrated capability in leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and influencing cross-functional decisions .
  • Ability to operate decisively in a fast-scaling, field-deployed energy infrastructure environment like SMPL.
