About the Team and the Role:

The Strategic Sourcing team at Ather is responsible for managing the software and services that form an integral part of our operations and unique customer experiences.

This role is for a leader to head Ather’s procurement operations in IT and Services, focusing on designing and executing supplier relationship initiatives in line with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute Supplier Relationship Management initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.

• Manage procurement for SaaS, On-prem software, Licenses, and Cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, and Azure.

• Oversee Engineering Outsourcing, Managed Services, Data, Telecom, and IT Hardware commodities.

• Stratify suppliers based on strategic importance and design customized engagement programs.

• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) and develop actionable plans with internal teams.

• Lead the annual supplier event, including content creation and messaging for the supply base.

• Monitor supplier performance and proactively raise alerts regarding technology or supply chain gaps.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Sourcing, Fulfillment, and Quality to execute engagement plans.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute, or an MBA in Supply Chain Management.

• 7 - 10 years of relevant functional experience in handling Indirect commodities procurement.

Must Have Competencies:

• Expertise in procurement of SaaS, Cloud services, IT Hardware, and Networking equipment.

• Mastery of supplier landscape understanding, value chain mapping, and zero-based costing.

• Proven capability in developing and executing strategic supplier engagement programs.

• Proficiency in spend analysis, commercial negotiations, and application of INCO terms.

Good to have Competencies:

• Execution of program management pillars including time, cost, and quality control.

• Experience managing procurement and sourcing strategies for greenfield projects.

• Strategic sourcing experience within the Automobile, Aerospace, or related manufacturing industries.

• Advanced planning and process management within complex IT and managed services environments.
