Supplier Development Engineer

Position Summary

The SDE will ensure suppliers in India and the APAC region consistently deliver high-quality components that meet our technical and product reliability standards. The role will focus on supplier audits, process control, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier quality system and process audits in accordance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 or equivalent standards.
• Work directly with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions (8D, root-cause analysis).
• Support new supplier qualification and process capability studies (PPAP, FAI, capability indices).
• Lead supplier performance reviews and maintain supplier quality metrics (PPM, OTD, SCAR closure).
• Partner with Commodity Managers to align quality performance with sourcing strategy.
• Facilitate supplier development programs to improve process robustness and yield.
• Coordinate containment and resolution of non-conformances and returned material issues.
• Support engineering change validation and risk assessment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Engineering.
• >5 years experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality roles within multinational organizations.
• Familiar with PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Knowledge of machining, castings, or electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Fluent in Hindi and English; strong communication and documentation skills.
