Position Overview:

Actively participate and contribute to the comprehensive testing strategy and execution for complex data engineering pipelines and product delivery initiatives. Drive quality assurance across integrated systems, data workflows, and customer-facing applications while coordinating cross-functional testing efforts.

Required Qualifications:

• Supervise day-to-day testing activities for data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics platforms
• Ensure test cases are executed as per defined test strategies, plans, and schedules
• Monitor test progress, identify risks or blockers, and escalate issues in a timely manner
• Validate that testing activities cover ingestion, transformation, lineage, and data consumption layers
• Oversee creation and execution of test cases for data ingestion, transformation, and output validation
• Ensure data quality checks, schema validation, and reconciliation rules are correctly implemented and executed
• Support testing of batch and streaming data workflows, including regression and performance testing
• Verify data integrity across environments and ensure alignment with defined business rules
• Take ownership of test execution, defect management, and documentation
• Lead testing tasks, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices
• Act as the primary point of contact for testing activities within assigned projects or product streams
• Coordinate closely with data engineers, developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to resolve defects and clarify requirements
• Ensure defects are accurately logged, prioritized, tracked, and validated through resolution
• Perform first-level root cause analysis on test failures and data quality issues
• Validate fixes and support production verification when required
• Ensure test evidence, reports, and signoffs are completed according to QA governance requirements
• Enforce established testing methodologies, standards, and templates defined by the Test Manager
• Track testing metrics (execution status, defect trends, coverage) and report status regularly
• Identify gaps or inefficiencies in test execution and recommend improvements to tools, processes, or test coverage
• Support adoption of test automation and CI/CD testing practices as defined by test leadership
• Support implementation and execution of automated tests designed by senior or lead QA resources
• Assist with validation of testing tools, frameworks, and environments
• Provide hands-on support in complex test scenarios involving multiple systems or data sources
• 4+ years in software testing with 3+ years in testing data engineering systems, ETL pipelines, or analytics platforms
• Proven track record with complex, multi-system integration testing
• Experience in agile/scrum environments with rapid delivery cycles
• Strong SQL experience with major databases (Redshift, Big query, etc.)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and their data services
• Knowledge of data pipeline tools (Apache Airflow, Kafka, Confluent, Spark, dbt, etc.)
• Scripting languages (Python, Java, bash) for test automation
• API testing tools and methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Experience managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines
• Experience in Menu domain & knowledge about Master Data Management (MDM) will be Plus
