Role Summary
Medanta is hiring a Strategy Manager / Senior Manager in the CEO Office to drive high-priority initiatives across pharmacy, VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory), consumables, medical devices, implants, and strategic procurement programs.
The role will serve as a bridge between the CEO Office and Supply Chain/Procurement, translating leadership priorities into measurable execution through structured governance, analytics, dashboards, and cross-functional coordination.
Roles & Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison between Supply Chain/Procurement teams and the CEO Office, ensuring clear alignment on priorities, progress, risks, and decision requirements.
Lead analytics-led deep dives across pharmacy and critical supply categories (consumables, implants, devices): spend, rate variance, contract compliance, consumption trends, stock-outs, expiries, and non-moving inventory.
Identify and execute cost optimization and standardization initiatives (formulary alignment, brand rationalization, substitution protocols) in partnership with clinical leadership, pharmacy, nursing, biomedical, and finance.
Support strategic sourcing and negotiations: RFQ/RFP analytics, vendor benchmarking, comparative statements, contracting guardrails, and preparation of negotiation packs for leadership.
Prepare decision notes, pre-reads, and leadership updates for the CPO / Group CEO, with clear problem statements, insights, options, and recommendations.
Candidate Profile
Must Have
48 years experience with strong exposure to consulting/strategy/analytics and hospital procurement / supply chain / pharmacy operations.
Working knowledge of pharmacy procurement and/or medical devices, implants, and consumables categories, including vendor management and contracting.
Strong understanding of VMI/inventory performance management and procurement governance.
Excellent analytical skills with advanced Excel (pivots, models, structured trackers) and ability to create executive-ready outputs (dashboards/MIS).
Strong stakeholder management and communicationcomfortable engaging with clinical and business leaders and driving closure.
