Job Description

We are looking for an experienced US Tax Reconciliation Tax Funding Team Lead who will oversee and manage the tax reconciliation and funding processes for our organization. This role requires strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of tax compliance, and the ability to ensure accuracy and efficiency in tax funding operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team responsible for US tax reconciliation and tax funding activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of payroll tax liabilities, deductions, and filings.
• Collaborate with payroll, accounting, and finance teams to gather necessary data for tax funding calculations.
• Monitor and analyze tax discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize tax funding processes and enhance efficiency.
• Prepare and review tax funding reports and presentations for senior management.
• Train and mentor team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in US tax reconciliation and tax funding, with at least 6-8 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, compliance requirements, and IRS guidelines.
• Experience with payroll tax software and systems (e.g., ADP, UltiPro, SAP).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide effective solutions.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA - Certified Public Accountant) preferred

Team support:

Plan proper allocation of work. Support Team lead / Manager with Daily stats / reporting and OPEX MOS. Enrich team members with a clear sense of direction and understanding of each others' responsibilities. To be available on the floor through the day to resolve process related issues. Participate in Team building activities. Create effective QC and Audit mechanism within process to ensure delivery on SLAs.

Client support:

Update process metrics on daily basis and maintain MIS. Support special process requirements to meet client requests/demands. To continue strengthen work relationship with Onshore Teams. Apply procedures to ensure accuracy of output and adopts continuous improvement approach. Always demonstrate the highest level of customer service. Pay close attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues. Goes beyond immediate requests and activities to ensure both own and related tasks are completed. Participate in client conference calls and prepare minutes of meeting.
