Strategic Finance & Compliance Lead

We are hiring a Strategic Finance & Compliance Lead to sit at the intersection of finance, compliance, investor relations, and operational performance.

This role ensures the company scales with financial discipline, regulatory compliance, and sharp execution, while enabling business teams to grow without chaos.

1. Compliance & Governance

Own statutory filings, secretarial compliance, and audit coordination.

Manage lending/customer compliance workflows (data security, SLAs, uptime, audit trails).

Maintain governance hygiene for investors, lenders, and regulators.

2. Business Finance & Commercial Controls

Track margins, unit economics, payouts, billing, penalties, and leakages.

Push business & ops teams to meet agreed unit economics & cost controls.

Implement pricing logic, discounting guardrails, and commercial checks.

Ensure billing, invoicing, and collections cycles are predictable.

3. Cashflow Management

Maintain weekly/monthly cashflow visibility & forecasting.

Track payables vs receivables and vendor/partner settlements.

Raise red flags early on burn, cash crunch, or delayed cycles.

4. Investor & Funding Compliance

Handle cap-table hygiene, ESOP tracking, data rooms, audit docs.

Prepare investor MIS, runway updates, and portfolio reporting.

Coordinate legal/compliance for fundraise transactions.

5. Founder Leverage

Bring clarity, discipline, and visibility across org-level financial controls.

Identify compliance blind spots and fix them before they become escalations.

Investor MIS & diligence processes are smooth and proactive.

Who Were Looking For

3-8 years experience in finance/business finance/compliance/startups/consulting/VC/Big4.

Strong analytical + commercial judgment (not just accounting).

Able to push teams without friction assertive but collaborative.

Excited by messy, multi-stakeholder environments.

Bonus: comfort with SaaS metrics, collections business, and regulatory workflows.

This person should have the aspiration to grow into CFO role
