Role Overview

We are looking for a Strategic Bookkeeper with strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience working with global clients. This role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping you will act as a financial partner to our clients, ensuring accurate reporting, supporting financial strategy, and helping streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with US GAAP.

Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.

Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries.

Prepare monthly management reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

Support client CFOs with variance analysis and strategic insights.

Assist in process improvements and implement best practices for efficiency.

Collaborate with the Celeste team to deliver high-quality client experiences.

Requirements

Proven bookkeeping/accounting experience under US GAAP.

Strong knowledge of account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.

Hands-on experience with one or more accounting platforms:

QuickBooks Online (QBO)

Xero

Sage Intacct (or similar mid-market systems).

Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently with global teams.

Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

Prior experience working with CFO advisory firms, SaaS, eCommerce, or service-based businesses.

Familiarity with workflow tools (Ramp, Dext, Gusto, Bill.com, Hubdoc, etc.).
