Story Producer – English Microdrama

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented Story Producer to lead the development and execution of English microdrama content. The ideal candidate should have a strong storytelling sensibility, hands-on experience in post-production workflows, and working proficiency in Mandarin to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.

This role requires someone who can balance creative instincts with strong organizational skills, ensuring compelling narratives are delivered efficiently within tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development across multiple microdrama projects from concept through final delivery
• Collaborate closely with directors, editors, and creative stakeholders to shape narrative arcs and tone
• Provide story feedback, and structural inputs to enhance emotional impact and pacing
• Oversee story continuity during post-production
• Work closely with post teams to ensure edits align with narrative intent and creative vision
• Review cuts and provide clear, actionable feedback to editorial teams
• Ensure content meets platform guidelines, audience expectations, and delivery timelines
• Act as a bridge between creative and production teams across regions

Required Qualifications

• 6-7 years of experience in story producing, development, or scripted content production
• Strong understanding of narrative structure, character arcs, and episodic storytelling
• Working knowledge of post-production workflows and editorial processes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on short-form or vertical microdrama content
• Background in digital platforms or OTT content production
• Familiarity with editing workflows and review tools
• Strong creative instincts with an eye for pacing and emotional beats
