Storage & Backup Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Backup Engineer with expertise in backup tools and tape libraries in data center environments. This role involves managing and troubleshooting backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Configure and manage backup solutions for regular data backups.

Troubleshoot issues related to backup jobs and tape libraries.

Test backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity.

Maintain documentation of backup procedures and recovery plans.

Collaborate with IT teams on data protection initiatives.

Monitor backup systems for performance and capacity.

Implement security protocols for data backups.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.

3+ years of experience in backup engineering within data centers.

Strong knowledge of EMC Networker backup tool.

Experience with tape libraries and data deduplication.

Relevant certifications are a plus.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
