Job Description

We are hiring an L1 Storage Engineer with foundational experience in NetApp storage environments . The role involves monitoring, first-level troubleshooting, and assisting with day-to-day storage operations. Exposure to Dell EMC systems will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor NetApp storage systems, alerts, and overall performance.
• Provide first-level support for SAN/NAS incidents and escalate to L2/L3 when needed.
• Assist in basic provisioning tasks (volumes, LUNs, shares).
• Perform routine health checks and generate daily/weekly reports.
• Support tasks like zoning checks, storage validations, and log collection.
• Update tickets, follow SOPs, and maintain documentation.
• Coordinate with senior engineers for issue resolution and change activities.
• Work in a 24/7 rotational shift from the office.

Required Skills

• 14 years of hands-on experience in NetApp (ONTAP basics, NAS/SAN concepts).
• Understanding of NFS, CIFS, iSCSI protocols.
• Basic knowledge of storage operations such as provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Good analytical and communication skills.
• Exposure to Dell EMC storage is a plus.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes is desirable.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of VMware basics.
• Exposure to backup tools like Commvault.
• Interest in learning NetApp SnapCenter, StorageGRID, migrations, or replication.
