Responsible for managing and maintaining an organization's data storage infrastructure, ensuring the secure and efficient storage of electronic data by designing, implementing, and monitoring storage systems like SANs, NAS, and cloud-based solutions, while optimizing capacity, performance, and data protection through configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to meet business requirements; they also collaborate with other IT teams to assess storage needs and implement necessary upgrades or disaster recovery plans.

Technical skills

·         Storage virtualization: Know how to configure and manage storage devices

·         Backup management: Know how to set up, manage, and optimize storage and backup systems

·         Networking: Know how to build and maintain networks of connections

·         SQL: Understand structured query language (SQL), a database management language

·         Problem-solving skills:

·         Troubleshooting: Be able to analyze and fix problems in a system or machine

·         Adaptability: Be able to adapt to new technologies and methodologies
