Roles & Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, select and manage technical solutions to meet the business requirements.

Operational Management.

• Manage the day-to-day Storage Operations from a capacity, availability and risk management

Perspective.

• Provide technical support to assist in the resolution of Storage & Backup related incidents, work orders within defined SLAs.
• Provide a technical escalation point for 3rd parties in the ongoing support and management of the IT Storage.
• Work with technical lead in managing the delivery of IT Storage projects as directed.
• Ensure all storage and backup devices are running on latest firmware, should be able to upgrade them without vendor support.
• Perform capacity management and send Monthly, Quarterly and Bi-annual reports, suggest areas of improvement. Perform capacity planning, capacity optimization, maintain SOP, inventory and port mapping documents.
• Ensure high availability through proper zoning.
• Make sure all hardware components are working fine and arrays are reporting well through email.
• Managing multi-site Rubrik environments including SLA domain configuration, archival policies, RSC integration, assigning SLA domains to Linux, Windows & Nutanix Servers, Isilon exports and file sets, performing server restore, monitoring capacity on both local CDM clusters and RCV. Performing cluster upgrades and working with Rubrik support to maintain health of the clusters.
• Performing archival and restoration using HP MSL Tape Library via Veeam, maintaining records and coordination with Vendors for off-siting.
• Manage CIFS/SMB File Share creation/deletion, Applying/Updating/Removing security groups on shares, Mounting/Unmounting servers on NFS Exports, SyncIQ and SnapIQ. Managing replication and snap policy schedules, consolidation. Firmware upgrades and working with support for hardware replacements on filers.
• Decommission of Storage Devices and Switches, Data Centre Decommission.
• Creating and executing DR plans and activities.
• Performing BAU tasks like Storage Allocation / De-allocation / Zoning of new devices and servers to support organic growth of Production and Development environment.
• Installing PKI/SSL Trust Certificates on Switches, Storage & Backup Devices.
• Working knowledge of Windows/Unix Administration.
• Technical certifications would be given preference.
