State Head - Merchant Business

About the Role:

As a State Head, you will lead our Merchant and POS sales initiatives across the assigned territory. This role involves driving merchant acquisition, increasing POS adoption, and managing a high-performing sales team to achieve business objectives.

What you will do

• Drive merchant acquisition and increase POS adoption across the designated territory.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales executives to achieve individual and team targets.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximize revenue and market penetration.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key merchants, partners, and channel stakeholders.
• Track team performance, analyze sales data, and implement corrective actions to meet KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, product) to ensure smooth onboarding and merchant satisfaction.

What you will need

• Bachelors degree in Business, Commerce, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in sales, preferably in merchant acquisition, POS, or fintech payments.
• Proven track record of managing and scaling sales teams successfully.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and take corrective actions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
