We are seeking a Senior/Staff UI/UX Designer to lead experience design for our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software suite. This role is ideal for a design leader who combines strong UX thinking with hands-on design execution. You will partner closely with product managers, engineering leaders, and domain experts to craft intuitive, modern, and user-centered workflows for complex enterprise use cases.

You will drive the end-to-end UX process—from research and conceptual design through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity Figma mockups—and collaborate with engineers to translate designs into scalable, component-driven React interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Lead UX strategy, user research, and design for new and existing PLM features and workflows.

  • Create user journeys, personas, information architecture, and UX flows for complex product interactions.

  • Produce high-quality designs including wireframes, prototypes, and Figma-based UI mockups.

  • Define and evolve design standards, patterns, and component libraries for consistency across the PLM platform.

  • Collaborate with product management to translate business requirements into intuitive user experiences.

  • Work closely with frontend engineers to ensure accurate implementation in React.

  • Advocate for UX best practices, accessibility standards, and user-centered design principles across the team.

  • Utilize data, user feedback, and usability testing to iterate and refine designs.

  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to building a strong design culture.

Minimum Qualifications & Critical Skills

Core UX Expertise

  • 7+ years of professional UI/UX design experience, with at least 3 years in senior or lead roles.

  • Deep understanding of UX design principles, user psychology, interaction design, and usability heuristics.

  • Proven experience designing complex enterprise or technical software (bonus: PLM, CAD, ERP, or engineering tools).

Design Execution

  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma (auto-layout, design systems, prototyping).

  • Strong skills in wireframing, visual design, responsive design, and creating interactive prototypes.

  • Experience conducting and synthesizing user research, interviews, and usability testing.

Technical Collaboration

  • Ability to work closely with engineers and understand technical constraints.

  • Working knowledge of React or modern frontend frameworks—comfortable writing or reviewing basic JSX/CSS to support implementation.

  • Familiarity with component-driven development and design systems (e.g., Storybook, Material UI).

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills—ability to articulate design decisions to senior leadership.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and comfort navigating ambiguity.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead design discussions, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in PLM, manufacturing, Semiconductor engineering, or product development workflows.

  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX thinking and high-quality visual design.
