Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience architecting and developing large-scale distributed systems.
Experience with non-relational platforms and tools for large-scale data processing (e.g., information retrieval, data mining or machine learning).
Experience with Machine Management Systems at Google or other large hyperscalers.

Responsibilities

Set the technical direction and strategy for Google's portfolio of machine management systems, including Surgeon and Repair Subsystem.
Partner closely with our Engineering Productivity and Software Release teams to align PIE release processes and validations with the testing and release infrastructure for our core systems. Develop a robust qualification strategy for all critical machine management services.
