Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
7 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
Experience in technical leadership and influencing large engineering teams Contribution to open source projects or publications in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

Understand business requirements and the changing AI landscape, and develop solutions which increase the ease of adoption of indexing solutions.
Be data-driven and opinionated about the various features and capabilities such as experimentation, debuggability, reliability, monitoring, developer experience and cost reporting.
Lead the architecture and development of significant components within the Indexing Engine ecosystem.
Collaborate with other engineers, Program Mangers and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to define and deliver on a long-term technical roadmap for key indexing infrastructure.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers on the team.
Contribute to the oncall rotation for live production systems.
