Job Summary:

Chargebee is building the future of revenue automation for subscription and usage-based businesses. Were looking for a Staff Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap & execution for our Revenue Management products that sit at the heart of the order-to-revenue lifecycle and demand deep customer empathy, strong systems thinking, and rigorous execution.

This role requires AI-first product thinking: reimagining revenue and accounting workflows assuming intelligence is native to the productnot bolted on. Youll define how we use automation and intelligence to fully automate close cycles, improve reconciliation accuracy, surface anomalies early, and deliver an enterprise-grade experience that is audit ready and compliant.

• Own a mission-critical product portfolio that determines how modern SaaS companies recognize, report & manage AR & Revenue
• Build category-defining capabilities at the intersection of finance workflows, automation, and AI, with real customer impact.
• Work on complex, high-leverage problems that require both depth and creativity, while shipping consistently.

Job Responsibilities:

As Product Manager, you will be responsible for the following

• Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for RevRec and Revenue Accounting aligned to Chargebees product goals and themes
• Identify, validate and prioritize high-impact investments across revenue policies, allocations, adjustments, close workflows, reconciliation, reporting and compliance.
• Build strong product narratives and business cases grounded in customer value, market opportunity, impact, and execution trade-offs.
• Drive AI-powered capabilities across the revenue lifecycle such as:
• Smart matching & reconciliation across transactions like invoices, payments, credits etc and GL postings
• Anomaly detection (unexpected movements, missing events, policy conflicts, unusual adjustments)
• Flux Analysis - Explain the movements & variances in Revenue by customers, accounts or business entities
• Smart close & Guided workflows
• Ensure intelligence ships responsibly and is enterprise-ready: human-in-the-loop controls, confidence scoring, explainability, audit trails, approvals, versioning, and permissions.
• Develop deep understanding of customer workflows across finance and revenue accounting teams (Controllers, Revenue Accounting, RevOps, FP&A).
• Translate complex, cross-system processes into clear product problems and simple, scalable solutions.
• Build capabilities with a platform and ecosystem focus that delivers a complete solution to our customers
• Establish product metrics and operational dashboards to monitor adoption, reliability, and customer outcomes.
• Product Marketing: Be the product input to our marketing team to enable effective and impactful product marketing communications.
• Active Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support, to ensure a cohesive approach to product development and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications (Who were looking for)

• 7+ years of product management experience.
• Experience building products in one or more of: RevRec, Accounts Receivables, revenue accounting, close automation, reconciliation, ERP/GL, billing, compliance-heavy workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to apply AI-first thinking to product strategy: identifying high-ROI use cases, shaping user-centric experiences, and shipping iteratively with clear success measures.
• Strong judgment around trust, risk, and controlsespecially in finance/accounting-adjacent domains where auditability matters.
• Strong product craft: customer discovery, prioritisation, PRD writing, UX partnership, and metric-driven execution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to align teams and make crisp trade-offs.
• Ability to influence cross-functionally, through first-principles thinking, sharp commercial sense and clear communication
• You think from the customer perspective and are able to balance future opportunities versus immediate needs.
• You are data-driven, you clearly define success metrics and measure progress against them.
• Desire and drive to work in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.
