Staff nurse

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients including monitoring health conditions and assisting with daily activities.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during treatment and recovery.
• Check and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Observe patient progress and report any changes to physicians.
• Administer prescribed medications, injections, and IV fluids.
• Assist doctors during medical procedures and treatments.
• Document patient medical history, treatments, and progress accurately.
• Maintain nursing notes and medical records.
• Prepare patients for surgeries, diagnostic tests, and examinations.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and health management.
• Provide guidance on post-discharge care.
• Follow strict hygiene and infection control protocols.
• Ensure medical equipment and patient areas are clean and safe.
• Work closely with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare staff to deliver quality patient care.

Qualification

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing (GNM / BSc Nursing)
• Registration with State Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council
• Clinical experience in hospital or healthcare setting preferred
