Job Description:
As a ServiceNow Staff Engineer, youll be responsible for designs, configures, and overseeing the implementation of enterprise-grade solutions on the ServiceNow platform, bridging business needs with technical execution. Key responsibilities include creating scalable, secure architectures (ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, CSM, FSM), leading integrations (API, iPaaS), and providing technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the end-to-end technical design and implementation of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring they are scalable, flexible, and maintainable.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on platform capabilities, best practices, and industry trends to stakeholders.
- Integration Design: Build and manage integration between ServiceNow and other systems using tools like API, MID servers, and iPaaS (e.g., Mulesoft). Architect and implement API integrations (REST, SOAP, JDBC) between ServiceNow and third-party systems.
- Documentation & Governance: Create comprehensive technical architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and establish governance processes to ensure platform integrity and security.
- Platform Maintenance: Oversee platform upgrades, performance optimization, and technical debt management. Manage upgrades, update sets, performance monitoring, and cloning, ensuring system stability.
- Business Analysis: Translate complex business requirements into technical blueprints, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers on best practices and development standards.
Skills:
Required Skills and Experience
- ServiceNow Expertise: 10+ years of IT experience with 7+ years hands-on ServiceNow development and architecture.
- Certifications: is highly preferred, along with ITIL certification.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and web services (REST/SOAP).
- Module Knowledge: Strong proficiency in ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Service Portal, and ideally other modules like CSM, FSM, or Sec Ops.
- Methodologies: Practical experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
