Job Description
Job Title: Staff Engineer DevOps

Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Confluent Kafka clustersin IaaS and cloud environments.
- Implement cross-cloud connectivityfor Kafka deployments ensuring secure and reliable communication.
- Architectand optimize data ingestion patternsfor high-throughput and low-latency streaming.
- Configure and manage Big Query Sync connectorsand integrate Dataflow jobswith Kafka pipelines.
- Set up multi-region replicationand disaster recovery strategies for Kafka clusters.
- Implement monitoring and observabilityusing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Confluent Control Center.
- Ensure security hardeningof Kafka clusters including RBAC, SSL/TLS encryption, and Kerberos/SASL authentication.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, optimize producer/consumer configurations, and manage schema registry.
- Automation of kafka setup and data to day activities
- Capacity planning and sizing of Kafka clusters.
Technical Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka administrationand Kafka Connect.
- Expertise in Kafka Streams, KSQL, and data pipeline orchestration.
- Solid understanding of networking conceptsfor cross-cloud connectivity (VPN, VPC peering).
- Proficiency in Linux administration, shell scripting, and automation tools(Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelinesfor Kafka deployments.
- Knowledge of observability stack(Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration(Docker, Kubernetes).
