Staff Engineer, DBA-Sql

REQUIREMENTS:

• Total experience 7+ years.
• Strong working experience as a DBA (MySQL).
• Expertise in MySQL internals, HA, clustering, and replication, Performance tuning and diagnostics, Backup/restore mechanisms, Monitoring and alerting tools and Security hardening and logging.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix OS, SQL/PLSQL scripting, Bash, Python scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform).
• Experience in Agile teams and workflows.
• Hands on experience in MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Cassandra.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect and maintain MySQL database infrastructure for high availability and scalability.
• Handle patching, upgrades, security configurations, and monitoring of MySQL environments.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Optimize slow queries and support performance-intensive workloads.
• Work closely with DevOps and Application teams on CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Manage database migrations across multiple environments.
• Maintain compliance with data governance and auditing standards.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
