The role will position you to support on all aspects of a Corporate Real Estate or Facility Management engagement.Your work profileAs a Senior Executive in our Real Asset Advisory practice, youll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. You will be responsible for:Developing an understanding of the industry and sub-sectors such as commercial, residential, industrial, agriculture, development and land properties;Developing in-depth understanding of real estate valuation concepts including key cash flow and valuation drivers; Thorough understanding of major real estate valuation approaches Cost approach (RCN, Residual approach), Direct Comparison approach and Income approach (Capitalization approach and DCF); Responsible for conducting research and analysis for key valuation drivers or benchmarking rentals, vacancies, rates of return including cap rates, discount rates, etc.;Performing and assisting experienced team members in executing a wide variety of the valuation exercise including property/portfolio valuations and assisting in audit support.Developing and maintaining financial modelsSynthesize market information to be used in valuation, appraisals, competitive analysis, industry analysis, negotiation support and various other applicationsCompiling and analyzing relevant company and industry information, originating from a broad variety of sources (such as financial databases, industry publications, financial statements and public disclosures)Supporting the team in the preparation of both internal and external presentations, business development and marketing initiativesDefine and challenge client requirements and identify means of solving commercial and real estate problemsBe a strong team player, capable of fulfilling different roles within project teamSupport and coordinate specific bids that align with your goalsSupport Deloitte member firms (Canadian, UK, Australian, Middle East and European) real estate valuation practiceWork towards tight deadlines, adding value to complex and high-profile projectsDemonstrate strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem solvingUnderstanding of commercial leases, and assisting on lease abstractions projectsDesired qualificationsCivil EngineerMBA (preferably in Real estate) / CAMRICS certified members will be preferredSkills RequiredIn order to be considered for this role, your competencies will cover the broad scope of Valuation services, leveraging your professional background and skills such as:Excellent track record and strong academic achievements1+ years of relevant work experienceUnderstanding of real estate financial modellingExperience in ARGUS Enterprise will be a plusExperience with any of the Big 4 firms or real estate firms such as CBRE, JLL, Savills, C&W etc.In-depth understanding of real estate valuation principlesGood power point presentation skills and advanced excel skillsGood interpersonal skills - confident communication style to allow effective communication with on-shore clients. Audit teams and Deloitte clients.
