Job Description:
Technical Skills:
· Administration of Confluent Kafka Platform on Prem and in the Cloud
· Knowledge of Confluent Kafka operations
· Administration of Topics, Partitions, Consumer groups and kSQL queries to maintain optimal performance.
· Knowledge of Kafka ecosystem including Kafka Brokers, Zookeeper/kRaft, kSQL, Connectors, Schema Registry, Control Center, and platform interoperability.
· Knowledge of Kafka Cluster Linking and replication
· Experience with administering Multi Regional Confluent Clusters
· System Performance: Knowledge of performance tuning of messaging systems to meet application requirements.
· Performance Tools: Prometheus and Grafana metrics for Kafka implementations
· Development Tools/Languages: Familiarity with tools like CP-Ansible, Java, and shell scripting.
· Operating Systems: RedHat Linux
Soft Skills:
· Communication: Ability to articulate complex technical scenarios in a straightforward manner to stakeholders at different levels.
· Critical Thinking: Evaluation of design decisions, trade-offs, and potential future challenges.
· Attention to Detail: Especially crucial for analyzing system design documentation, error messages, and complex message flows.
· Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with architects, developers, system administrators, and other roles involved in system administration and implementation
