Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Product Analytics Manager to lead data-driven decision making for our digital product. The candidate should have proven expertise in app data, KPI definition, Google Analytics (GA4) and Firebase to drive data-driven decision-making across our digital properties. You will work with cross-functional teams to manage the implementation, tracking, analysis, and optimization of digital data from websites, mobile apps, and other digital platforms to deliver actionable insights. This candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and Product owners to translate data and trends into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analytics Strategy and Implementation:
Define and execute a product analytics strategy to monitor user behavior.
Configure and manage Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for websites and Firebase Analytics for mobile applications.
Collaborate with developers to ensure proper implementation of tracking mechanisms (e.g., event tracking, conversion setup).
Set up and manage Google Tag Manager (GTM) to deploy analytics tags, custom events, and third-party tracking pixels.
Monitor and troubleshoot tracking issues to maintain accurate data collection.
2. Data Analysis & Insights:
Analyze digital metrics, including website traffic, mobile app performance, user engagement, and conversion rates. Help define new KPIs for the business to track.
Analyze transaction analytics data from various conferences apps to define KPIs, create reports and share with product owners.
Work in close collaboration with our Power BI team to generate reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for stakeholders across departments.
Conduct in-depth funnel analysis, event tracking, and user segmentation using GA4 and Firebase.
3. Integration & Strategy:
Integrate analytics platforms with Google Ads, BigQuery, and other third-party tools to provide a complete view of user behavior.
Align analytics initiatives with overall business goals and digital marketing strategies.
4. Compliance & Best Practices:
Ensure analytics implementations comply with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Stay updated on the latest trends in analytics and tracking technologies, including changes in Google’s ecosystem (e.g., GA4 updates).
5. Collaboration & Leadership:
Work closely with Global analytics teams, engineering, development and marketing teams to implement an effective product analytics strategy.
Manage business stakeholders (product owners) to translate data into insights and KPIs that drive data-driven actions.
Lead a small team.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in Product analytics, with a strong focus on App data, Google Analytics/ Firebase.
Technical Skills:
Hand-on experience with app data to define KPIs and uncover actionable insights such as user engagement trends, feature adoption, funnel performance etc.
Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4 hand-on experience is a plus), Firebase Analytics, and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
Proficiency in creating custom events, funnels, and segments in Firebase and GA4.
Experience with BigQuery for querying and analyzing large datasets.
Basic data visualization skills using Data Studio, Tableau, or similar tools.
Experience with Fullstory or any similar tools is a plus.
Knowledge of SQL, Python, or R for advanced data manipulation and analysis is a plus.
Experience of working with MS suite for data crunching (excel & PPT).
Key Competencies:
Familiarity with mobile app metrics, including user acquisition, retention, and engagement.
Strong understanding of event-driven analytics and mobile app development frameworks (iOS, Android).
Excellent communication skills for translating complex data into actionable insights.
Key Metrics for Success:
Successful implementation and maintenance of GA4 and Firebase tracking.
Improved website and mobile app KPIs (e.g., conversions, user retention, engagement).
Delivery of timely, actionable insights that lead to business impact.
Collaboration and alignment with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, development).
