Sr. Indirect Category Supplier Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Category Management & Strategic Sourcing

• Source solutions and services that may include software, IT hardware, and various professional service offerings.
• Recommend targets to improve value such as high revenue, spending reduction, purchasing efficiency, customer services, and supplier management
• Analyze sourcing trends and make recommendations for assigned categories
• Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal-setting

Cost Management & Analysis

• Identify and evaluate category-specific savings/revenue levers
• Drive category savings/revenue and scorecard metric targets
• Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal partners
• Leverage should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace

Negotiation

• Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc.
• Lead sourcing events/RFQ process into bundled negotiations
• Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiations
• Develop a contract strategy for suppliers in assigned categories and build, negotiate, monitor, and enforce contracted terms and conditions
• Experience in negotiating contracts and terms for software and professional services preferred.

Business Partnering

• Collaborate with Team members and suppliers to deliver strategic solutions
• Develop and maintain expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with key partners
• Drive a customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement
• Serve as a consultant and trusted partner for procurement process and supplier issues.

Supplier Performance Management

• Lead overall Strategic Supplier relationships within the assigned categories
• Collaborate internally to drive key performance measures/metrics for Strategic Suppliers and supervise supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement
• Lead strategic supplier engagement events, such as Annual Supplier Evaluations
