Job Description

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Align the management information system (PBCS) with Workday.
  • Reconcile actual reporting and payroll data.
  • Prepare clear data reports and presentations for analytics results.
  • Collaborate with the PMO team for time-writing tool reconciliation.
  • Implement resource planning tools for resource availability and utilization.
  • Support onboarding of new joiners and guide them on finance processes.
  • Manage financial controls for resource processes.
  • Provide decision support including data preparation, financial rule building, and report generation.
  • Develop forecast models based on past trends, vendor invoices, and volumes.
  • Identify and articulate business unit opportunities to optimize performance.
  • Represent Wolters Kluwer by maintaining comprehensive knowledge and professional relationships.
  • Coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate intercompany cost recharges.
  • Create and manage cost centers and establish allocation methodologies.
  • KPI measurement, reporting, and creating dashboards using visualization tools.
  • Conduct data analysis to understand customer behavior impacts on capacity and volume.
  • Drive finance business partnerships and collaborate confidently with senior management.

Other Duties

  • Act as a financial business partner, identifying business issues and opportunities proactively.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with virtual teams and communicate effectively with leadership.
  • Provide effective reporting for executive presentations.
  • Support Business Unit Finance Teams in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) tasks.
  • Manage and report on the annual budget, conduct monthly and quarterly analyses, and contribute to the 3-year Vision and Strategy Process.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses as required.

Job Qualifications

Education: 

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in finance accounting, or economics or data analytics or 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or consulting role
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree/MBA in finance, accounting, or economics or data analysis with 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or consulting role

Experience, Knowledge, and Tools:

Minimum Experience/Knowledge: Finance, accounting, or consulting experience, including:

  • Experience supporting Technology and Development organizations.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver quality results.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and familiarity with HRIS (e.g., SAP, Workday).
  • Excellent analytical skills and fluent in English.
  • Proficient in MS Office and visualization tools like Power BI/Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Hyperion/PBCS, Tagetik, Care20, Workday.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of handling large datasets.
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques (e.g., regression), SAS/R, Python.
  • Proficiency in visualization tools and Hyperion/PBCS
