Sr. Test Automation Developer (Python)

Our growing team is looking for a Senior Test Automation Developer!

Location - Gurugram

As a Test Automation Developer, you will be responsible for carrying out various software testing activities with high degree of autonomy. You will plan and perform system functional and acceptance tests on strategic, regional, or national projects of high complexity. Your role will include improving systems, workflows, and profitability through meticulous software testing and analysis, which may involve several business handling systems based on the project scope. You will take ownership of at least one strategic system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the test lead in designing test plans and strategies, and potentially help in the development of concepts, standards, and quality control procedures.
• Perform and develop automated tests, preparing, controlling, and executing software tests.
• Provide support during test executions and work with Project/Agile teams to ensure comprehensive testing coverage, considering downstream impacts.
• Review and analyze test plans and test cases to align with business objectives, system architecture and user journey of the applications.
• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders, product owners and developers.
• Participate in walkthroughs, demos, and estimate sessions.
• Develop end-to-end full stack automation scripts for at least one strategic application.
• Develop high-quality automated test cases that are reusable for strategic systems and identify reusable modules and components within application automation scripts.
• Define branching strategies and perform code reviews.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a senior testing role
• Experience with agile and test management tools like Jira, Confluence and Zephir
• Experience in Cloud technologies, specifically AWS, is an asset
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in full stack and testing frameworks in Python and Javascript such as FastAPI, Pytest, React and Playwright

• This role may sometimes require acting as a test lead and requires a deep understanding of automated testing principles and best practices. Your contribution will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software systems.
