Sr. Technical Writer

Responsibilities: 

Develop and maintain documentation for Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs), and related processes in alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT professionals, security experts, and business stakeholders, to gather information and ensure accuracy in technical documentation. 

Create and update IT policies, procedures, and standards documentation, ensuring content accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulatory requirements. 

Translate technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation accessible to various audiences, including technical and non-technical personnel. 

Research, gather, and verify information from subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of technical content. 

Continuously update existing documentation to reflect changes in technology, processes, or regulatory requirements. 

Review and edit documentation for grammar, style, and format consistency to maintain high-quality standards. 

Collaborate with teams during audits or compliance checks to ensure documentation meets regulatory and industry standards. 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Technical Writing, or a related field. Relevant certifications or equivalent experience will be considered. 

Proven experience 8 to 10 years working as a Technical Writer in the IT industry, specifically in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and IT Standards & Procedures documentation. 

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and cybersecurity concepts. 

Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO, NIST, ITIL, or other relevant regulations. 

Proficiency in document authoring tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Confluence, SharePoint) and version control systems. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner. 

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
