Sr Specialist System Engineering

Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr Specialist System Engineering to help us maintain, enhance and optimize our SQL data warehouse queries. In this position, you will be responsible for enhancing existing processes, creating new pipelines, and optimizing existing stored procedures so that our employees can access the necessary information in a timely manner. Our ideal applicant has a bachelor's degree in computer science and several years of experience working with ETL tools and programs like SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Azure Data Factory. Certification in SQL is also beneficial, but it is not mandatory. This is a hands-on role that ultimately results in the delivery of an application or service. We function in a hybrid on-prem/Azure cloud environment.

Sr Specialist System Engineering Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify and refactor slow running queries
• Troubleshoot SQL blocked resources
• Respond to technical issues or access problems
• Migrate On-premise SSIS packages to Azure ADF pipelines

Sr Specialist System Engineering Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math
• SQL certification (preferred) or equivalent nanodegree
• Expert experience with SQL query writing, troubleshooting and optimizing
• Proficiency with standard database tools including Management Studio, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and Azure Data Studio
• Ability to support all phases of Analytic Development from identification of key business questions, through Data Collection, and ETL/ELT
• Ability to work independently and be able to collaborate with remote/US team employees
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required to support job failures

Location is Vega Bldg in Hyderabad

Hours: 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM IST
