Sr. SAP BI Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer with strong hands-on experience in classic reporting and form development. The ideal candidate should be proficient in SAPScripts, ALV grid reports, traditional report building, debugging, and enhancing SAP standard functionality using User Exits and BADIs. Prior exposure to Supply Chain modules (MM, SD, WM, etc.) is a plus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support SAP ABAP programs including classical and ALV reports, interfaces, forms (SAPScripts), and enhancements.
• Create and maintain SAPScripts for business documents such as invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders.
• Build and optimize ALV Grid reports and traditional ABAP reports for various business functions.
• Implement and enhance standard SAP behavior using User Exits and BADIs based on functional requirements.
• Perform code debugging and issue resolution across SAP modules as required.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and support defect resolution.
• Follow SAP development best practices and ensure quality assurance through peer code reviews.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for all developments and changes.

Required Skills

• SAPScripts and layout modifications
• ALV Grid and classical reports
• Traditional report development techniques
• User Exits, Customer Exits, and BADIs
• ABAP Debugging and performance tuning
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues independently.
• Good understanding of SAP development lifecycle and transport processes.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to SAP Supply Chain modules such as MM, SD, WM, or PP.
• Basic understanding of SAP enhancement framework and modularization techniques (Function Modules, Includes, Subroutines).

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 4–7 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
