Main Purpose:

The primary responsibility is to monitor the real time data of the rig operations and analyze it with the pre-drill model, any variation in the data vis-a-vis the model is analyzed, authenticated from the rig. In case of any variation which has potential risk, Communicates to the concern person as per guidelines of intervention Protocol.

Job Accountabilities

• Perform shift duty to support 24x7 hours operation of RTOC.
• Reporting of Anomalies and Interventions to concern Teams (as per protocol) within the least possible time eventually helps in reducing the NPT and improve efficiency.
• Provide decision support to the drilling team with the aim of improving drilling performance by monitoring mud logging and MWD/LWD data in real time at RTOC.
• Preparation of Daily RTOC reports, End of Well Reports, and Event Analysis and management Reports.
• Real Time drilling data and Reports management.
• Prepare various Drilling Models (Predrill Models) to support rig Operations.
• Basic monitoring & interpretation of LWD log parameters like Resistivity, Gamma ray, Density & porosity etc.
• Update on the rig operations through SMS to Drilling team and Senior Management
• Capture lessons learnt and recommendations on best practices

Skills Required:

• Good understanding of Deep-Water operations with interpretation of the real time drilling and completion data
• Identification and communication of abnormalities / deviation form plan
• Good communication skill and could be able to communicate the message effectively

Experience and Qualifications:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering/Geology
• Understands the Real time drilling data management (Including data acquisition, flow, storage, QA/QC, import/export etc.)
• Worked experience of ~5 years on rig as drilling engineer/ /Mud logging preferably in deep water with 2-3 years in deep water operations.
• Good Experience in Real time data monitoring & optimization
• Preparation of Predrill Models (Planned) and compare with Post drill analysis with actual data.
