Role Description

Role Purpose

The Senior Recruitment Manager (South Asia) is responsible for leading and coordinating student recruitment activity across South Asia, contributing to the achievement of the Universitys international student recruitment targets.

The role provides day-to-day guidance, coordination, and support to recruitment colleagues and agents, ensuring consistent execution of recruitment plans, strong follow-up, and alignment across teams. While the role does not have direct line management responsibility, it plays a key role in leading recruitment activity, supporting team capability, and maintaining momentum against targets.

Major Responsibilities

Recruitment Strategy and Planning

In collaboration with the South Asia recruitment team, lead the development and delivery of country-specific recruitment plans aligned to annual targets.

Translate recruitment plans into clear priorities and actions for the team, tracking progress throughout the recruitment cycle.

Support Schools and academics by coordinating and participating in academic visits, conversion activities, and in-market campaigns.

Provide timely market intelligence and competitor insights to inform recruitment activity and improve team effectiveness.

Travel according to recruitment plans to promote the Universitys programs and support team-led recruitment initiatives.

Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks, sharing insights with the team and regional leadership.


Operations

Work closely with the Admissions team to support agent applications and assist recruitment colleagues with pipeline and application issues.

Provide hands-on guidance to team members on operational processes, agent queries, and issue resolution.

Liaise with Compliance to support the recruitment of genuine students and contribute to effective visa risk management.

Coordinate recruitment events and activities, supporting consistent delivery across the team.

Assist in planning and coordinating recruitment travel, calendars, and event schedules.

  • Support Executive, Associate Deans International, academic staff, and Student Ambassador recruitment and partnership missions.

Relationship Management

Lead agent engagement activity alongside recruitment colleagues, ensuring consistent messaging, follow-up, and relationship management.

Support team members in managing agent relationships, including participation in joint meetings, training sessions, and performance discussions.

Conduct regular product and GTE compliance training for agents, supporting consistent standards across the region.

Build strong working relationships across Western Sydney International, Schools, Institutes, WSUIC, and central teams to support South Asia recruitment plans.

Support the onboarding and development of new recruitment colleagues through on-the-job coaching and knowledge sharing.

Contribute to a collaborative, supportive, and solutions-focused team culture.


Reporting

Coordinate recruitment reporting inputs across the South Asia team, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.

Track team activity against recruitment plans and highlight risks, gaps, or emerging issues to the Head of TNE Global Recruitment and Regional Director South Asia.

Maintain recruitment plans, travel calendars, and market intelligence reports on Confluence or other shared platforms.
