Role Overview

Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in manual testing and automation testing using Java Selenium. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), along with hands-on experience in API testing, database testing (SQL), and mobile testing. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to identify test scenarios.
• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Java Selenium.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman/RestAssured.
• Validate data integrity through database testing using SQL queries.
• Execute mobile application testing (Android/iOS functional and regression).
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices.
• Provide clear and timely test status reports and quality metrics.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong hands-on experience in manual testing.
• Experience in automation testing using Java and Selenium.
• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in API testing.
• Strong knowledge of database testing using SQL.
• Experience in mobile testing (native or hybrid apps).
• Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
