Sr QA - Automation (Selenium)

The Product QA Developer, Sr, designs, develops and implements test cases for the improvement of product quality.
The position also performs inspections on products, analyzes data, identifies trends in errors and monitors quality issues.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both UI automation and backend automation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through robust testing strategies.

What you will be doing:

• Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test scripts for both UI and backend applications.
• UI Automation: Create automated tests for web applications using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Backend Automation: Develop automated tests for APIs, microservices, and databases using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or JUnit.
• Design and implement test frameworks and strategies to ensure efficient test coverage across all components of the application.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application features and define appropriate test cases.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Perform test reporting and provide detailed feedback on software quality.
• Maintain and improve test automation frameworks, ensuring scalability and reusability.
• Conduct performance testing and evaluate system performance under different conditions.
• Continuously improve test coverage and the overall efficiency of the testing process.

What you will likely bring:

• Proven experience in UI automation using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent.
• Experience with Cucumber highly desirable.
• Strong experience in backend automation (API testing) using tools like Postman, RestAssured, JUnit, or similar.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Experience with database testing, including validating data and writing complex queries for SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to report and document defects clearly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
• 2+ years of specialized/industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).

Additional Qualifications

• 3+ years of test automation experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
