Senior Project Manager – PRI Operations
About this role:
The Sr. Project Manager in Gartner’s Primary Research & Insights, Operations (PRI Ops) team is responsible for the management and successful execution of all primary research projects for Gartner Research. The Senior Project Manager will manage various primary research projects which may include Magic Quadrants, Funded, Research Circle and Ad hoc studies.
What you’ll do:
- Take ownership and manage the planning and execution of primary research projects through the entire life cycle adhering to PRI best practices from feasibility/scoping, methodology recommendations through questionnaire peer review, field management to data/results delivery.
- Manage RFP process and vendor/fieldwork partner selection; identify & test new vendors/methodologies and scrutinize existing partners
- Questionnaire peer review - Review survey for logical flow, appropriate screening conditions, field readiness, respondent friendly design ensuring the survey is in correct format for selected methodology and the screener questions meet qualification criteria.
- Manage vendor, and project team consisting of Analyst(s), Researcher and Data Manager; Maintain field schedules, monitoring and communicating deadlines to team; checking programmed questionnaires; monitoring and maintaining progress of fieldwork; specifying deliverable requirements; final review of member deliverables. Contribute to team process optimization through innovation and continuous improvement.
- Post all related project data files to server or any other central data repository required. Create process documentation, wherever applicable.
- Be proficient with applications used for deliverables which includes vendor reportals, SPSS, Word, PPT and Excel.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; Masters or advanced degree a plus.
- 5-7 years of experience in managing complex B2B or consumer primary research. projects, preferably for an end-user or consultancy organization or for a field research agency.
- Proficient in use of SPSS, Word, Excel and PPT.
- Ability to work independently, contribute to the greater team and to handle multiple projects/tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent project management, communication, attention to detail, problem-solving and initiative skills required.
- Familiarity with survey programming tools (ConfirmIT, Qualtrics, Decipher, etc.), data visualization tools (Beacon & likewise), SPSS and PowerBI would be an advantage
- Knowledge and experience of languages such as html, CSS, javascript, jquery, Python, VBA would be a plus
