About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager Localization & Translation to lead our end-to-end localization operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in managing large-scale translation projects, vendor networks, localization technologies, and cross-functional teams. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on operational excellence to ensure highquality, scalable, and cost-efficient localization delivery for global clients.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Define and implement localization and translation strategy aligned with organizational

goals.

Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.

Manage budgets, resource allocation, and P&L responsibility for localization

operations.

Project & Delivery Management

Oversee large-scale multilingual translation/localization projects across industries.

Ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality-focused project execution.

Collaborate with global stakeholders, clients, and internal teams to meet expectations.

Team & Vendor Management

Lead, mentor, and manage in-house project managers, linguists, and coordinators.

Build and manage vendor/linguist networks across multiple languages and domains.

Negotiate vendor contracts, monitor KPIs, and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Technology & Innovation

Leverage CAT tools, TMS platforms, and AI/MT solutions to optimize workflows.

Stay updated with localization trends, tools, and automation practices.

Drive technology adoption and integration for efficiency and scalability.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the senior escalation point for clients and internal stakeholders.

Build strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and retention.

Provide strategic insights and reporting to leadership and clients.

Key Requirements

Experience: Minimum 12+ years in localization, translation, or language services

industry, with at least 45 years in a senior managerial/leadership role.

Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of localization processes, CAT tools (e.g.,

SDL Trados, Memo Q, Smart ling, Memsource), TMS platforms, and MT/AI integrations.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage large teams and vendor networks in a

global environment.

Project Management: Expertise in handling complex, multi-market projects with tight

deadlines.

Business Acumen: Strong P&L management, budgeting, and strategic decision making capability.

Client Orientation: Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client

engagement skills.

Education: Graduate degree (Language, Linguistics, Translation, or Business preferred).

PMP/Prince2/Localization industry certifications are a plus.
