As one of three data experts, you will be an integral part of a high performing team, working directly with subject matter experts to support the three pillars of the Responsible Sourcing Program (RSP): Environmental Sustainability, Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD), and the Small Business Administration (SBA) supplier program. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance program compliance, deliver insights on emerging trends, and drive actions, innovations to develop best-in-class solutions that help the core team and procurement to achieve ambitious and rewarding enterprise level goals and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
EcoVadis Platform Management
- Tool & Data Management: Manage system updates and modifications based on RSP needs, coordinate supplier tagging and data pulls for reporting, oversee new tag generation and mapping for onboarding suppliers with Process Unity (and other) API integrations, and handle data uploads, system changes, and ad-hoc data requests.
- User Support: Notify users of issues, fixes, or updates affecting multiple stakeholders, provide subject matter expertise for RSP-related inquiries, offer helpdesk support for quick problem resolution, and administer and periodically review user access in alignment with the RSP team.
- Training & Communications: Support program rollout and deployment to category teams and suppliers; updating supplier lists and proactively communicate changes to stakeholders, and support training sessions, including logistics and attendance at BMS-led trainings.
- Relationship Management: Escalate tool-related concerns to the RSP team, represent RSP in data & analytics governance meetings, be an integral member of the team working with EcoVadis; address and escalate technical questions, communicate tool issues to RSP and Core TPRM, and deliver technical guidance on EcoVadis functionality.
Data Stewardship, Insights and Governance:
Sustainability
- Build, update, and maintain backend data infrastructure to support supplier tracking, accountability, and reporting for supplier decarbonization efforts. This is across several supplier engagement programs.
- Prepare executive dashboards and periodic updates to support program goal alignment and driving accountability.
- Refresh supplier lists and emissions data; ensure latest information is integrated into program tracking dashboards.
- Implement robust supplier ID methodologies to improve data sharing and integrity.
- Upload up-to-date supplier wave lists, contact lists, and event participation records.
Human Rights Due Diligence
- Support the data & analytics implementation and monitoring of Human Rights Due Diligence processes across the supplier base.
- Collaborate with legal, procurement, and sustainability teams to ensure compliance with BMS’s human rights policies, global standards and ways of working.
- Gather, analyze, and report data related to human rights risks; follow up with suppliers to address gaps or non-compliance.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of supplier educational materials and training related to Human Rights Due Diligence.
Small Business (SBA) Program Support
- Support the onboarding and integration of small and diverse businesses into BMS’s supplier base.
- Maintain accurate small business supplier data and assist with reporting against SBA targets and KPIs.
- Collaborate with procurement and category teams to expand business opportunities for small and diverse suppliers.
- Communicate SBA program updates, requirements, and recognition efforts to relevant stakeholders.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- B.S/B.A. (Business, Science or Engineering) is desirable, advanced education (e.g. JD, MBA, MS) preferred.
- Minimum 8 years’ work experience in relevant and/or associated field including but not limited to environmental sustainability, responsible sourcing etc.
- Expert user of the MS Office Suite, especially Excel and related analytical tools, VBA experience preferred.
- Strong data management, and organizational skills.
- Strong, demonstrated working experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Experience with sustainability assessment tools and supplier management platforms (EcoVadis preferred).
- Understanding human rights due diligence, supplier compliance, and small business program management.
- Effective communicator with stakeholder support experience.
- Collaboration with supply chain, procurement, legal, and sustainability teams.
- Experience managing supplier engagement, training initiatives, and reporting.
- Familiarity with vendor relationship management, governance forums, and information security assessments.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful.
Critical Success Factors:
- Accurate and timely supplier tagging, data management, and reporting.
- Effective support and communication for EcoVadis users and program stakeholders.
- Successful implementation of supplier rollouts, trainings, and HRDD processes.
- Demonstrated progress toward SBA targets and impactful small business engagement.
- Strong collaborative relationships and robust security compliance.
