Job Description

1. Industrial Relations (IR)

  • Maintain healthy and productive relations with workers, union representatives, and statutory bodies.
  • Manage conflict resolution, grievance handling, and disciplinary actions as per legal and company guidelines.
  • Lead negotiations with unions and support long-term settlements and wage agreements.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of the shop floor by fostering a positive and cooperative work culture.

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure 100% compliance with all labor laws and statutory requirements relevant to the textiles manufacturing sector (Factories Act, ESIC, PF, Minimum Wages, etc.).
  • Liaise with government departments, legal advisors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain timely submission of statutory returns, inspections, and compliance documentation.

3. HR Management & General Administration

  • Oversee end-to-end HR operations at the plant including attendance, payroll inputs, employee database, and HR systems.
  • Implement HR policies, systems, and procedures aligned with corporate HR.
  • Ensure effective administrative support for facility management, security, canteen, transport, and other employee welfare services.

4. Staffing, Recruitment & Resourcing

  • Lead manpower planning, hiring, onboarding, and deployment for staff and workers.
  • Work closely with department heads to fulfill operational manpower needs.
  • Build a talent pipeline for critical and technical roles.

5. Performance Management

  • Drive the performance appraisal process (KRA setting, mid-year review, annual review).
  • Support managers in performance evaluation, improvement plans, and capability-building initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with organizational goals and performance standards.

6. Training & Development

  • Identify skill gaps and design training programs for workers, supervisors, and staff.
  • Coordinate technical, behavioral, and statutory training sessions.
  • Evaluate training outcomes and maintain training MIS.

7. Compensation & Benefits (C&B)

  • Support payroll inputs, wage administration, attendance systems, and overtime management.
  • Ensure transparent and fair compensation practices for both staff and workers.
  • Monitor compliance with wage regulations and internal C&B policies.

8. Legal & Regulatory Affairs

  • Support handling of legal notices, litigation documentation, and coordination with legal counsel.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and statutory processes.
  • Implement corrective actions and preventive steps to minimize legal exposure
