Job Title: Sr. Manager, Commercial & Brands Technologies

Location: Hyderabad, India


Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Commercial Technology Lead to oversee our offshore Commercial technology teams at GCC in Hyderabad. This role leads development, quality engineering, and operations across key Commercial platforms, including Anaplan, Salesforce, EDI, and related tools that support Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial operations.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in enterprise/commercial systems, has led offshore delivery and support teams, and is adept at working with global stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Operations, and IT.


You will partner closely with onshore product owners and platform leads to ensure reliable planning, sales execution, integration, and reporting capabilities for the business.

Candidates must be willing to work onsite in Hyderabad at least four days per week and maintain consistent overlap with US Pacific Time (PST) to collaborate with global teams.


Scope & Portfolios


The Commercial Technology Lead will have primary responsibility for:

  • Planning & Performance Management:
  • Anaplan or similar planning platforms supporting financial, sales, and operational planning.
  • CRM & Sales Enablement:
  • Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or other relevant Salesforce solutions).
  • EDI & B2B Integrations:
  • EDI platforms and integrations with retailers, distributors, and other external partners.
  • Commercial & Operational Tools:
  • Additional tools used by Sales, Trade, Commercial Finance, or Customer Operations, as assigned.
  • Operations & Support for Commercial Platforms:
  • Incident management, releases, performance, integrations, and on-call coordination.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and mentor Commercial technology teams in Hyderabad including developers, QA engineers, and operations/support staff.
  • Foster a culture of stability, ownership, and continuous improvement across Commercial platforms with clear expectations and feedback loops.
  • Provide clear goals, coaching, performance feedback, and development paths for team members.
  1. Delivery & Project Execution
  • Oversee planning and delivery of Commercial projects and enhancements across Anaplan, Salesforce, EDI, and related tools.
  • Manage work intake across multiple Commercial portfolios (projects, enhancements, support, compliance requests).
  • Balance project work and BAU support , aligning resources to peak periods (planning cycles, promotions, year-end, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate resource allocation and assignment visibility , clearly communicating ownership and capacity constraints.
  • Partner with onshore IT and business leaders (Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial Ops) to prioritize and sequence work.
  • Ensure projects meet agreed scope, schedule, and budget , with appropriate risk management and communication.
  • Operate with Agile delivery practices where applicable, while supporting project-based deliveries (e.g., Anaplan model builds, EDI onboarding).
  1. Platform & Integration Ownership Commercial Stack
  • Act as the offshore technology owner for key Commercial platforms:
  • Anaplan (model changes, releases, environment coordination).
  • Salesforce (config/customization changes, integration, releases).
  • EDI platforms (partner onboarding, mappings, connectivity, monitoring).
  • Work with architects and onshore platform owners to align on solution designs, integration patterns, and technical standards .
  • Ensure effective coordination with ERP, data platforms, and other downstream systems .
  1. Operations, Support & Reliability
  • Own production support and SLAs for Commercial platforms including incidents, service requests, and business-critical issues (e.g., order flows, planning cycles, sales processes).
  • Implement and maintain runbooks, on-call rotations, monitoring, and alerting for Anaplan, Salesforce, and EDI services.
  • Lead root cause analysis for recurring or high-severity incidents, ensuring follow-through on remediation actions.
  • Enforce change management, release governance, and environment management to protect business-critical operations (e.g., planning windows, month-end/quarter-end closes).
  1. Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Serve as a primary offshore liaison for Commercial stakeholders in Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT.
  • Provide regular updates on platform health, project progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Help business stakeholders understand trade-offs in scope, capacity, and timelines; support decision-making through clear data and options.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external vendors/partners (e.g., Anaplan partners, Salesforce implementation partners, EDI VAN providers) as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Masters degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in Commercial/Enterprise technology roles (Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, or related domains), including 5+ years managing offshore technical teams .
  • Demonstrated experience with one or more of:
  • Anaplan or similar planning platforms.
  • Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or equivalent CRM platforms).
  • EDI and B2B integrations.
  • Strong understanding of software development, integration, QA, and operations for enterprise systems.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies , as well as structured project delivery in enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence technical teams , with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working in a global, distributed organization across time zones and cultures.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Hyderabad four days per week and maintain consistent overlap with US Pacific Time .

Preferred

  • Experience with Anaplan model building , Salesforce configuration/customization, or EDI partner onboarding.
  • Knowledge and certifications in ITIL, Agile, and/or DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with SOX and other compliance requirements impacting Commercial systems and operations.
  • Experience coordinating with ERP, data/analytics, and finance systems in a complex, global environment.
