Job Description

Job Title: Sr. Manager Cataract Account

Function: Sales

Reports To: Regional Manager

Work Location: Pune, Mumbai

Experience Required: 810 years (Ophthalmology / IOL Sales experience is mandatory )

Role Overview:

The Sr. Manager Cataract Account will be responsible for driving business development and sales growth within the cataract portfolio. The role focuses on achieving short- and long-term business objectives, expanding market share, and maintaining regional margin expectations.

This position will play a key role in developing and executing business and marketing plans, ensuring strong alignment between sales and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive achievement of sales and business targets aligned with approved business and marketing plans
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate Marketing to execute growth-focused strategies
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key strategic customers to drive sustainable growth
  • Represent the organization at conferences, industry events, and business forums
  • Develop market development and strategy plans, including proposals, presentations, and contracts
  • Maintain strong product knowledge and updated sales materials
  • Prepare and share regular sales, activity, and performance reports
  • Communicate market feedback, new opportunities, and competitive insights to leadership
  • Plan and manage sales and expense budgets in alignment with organizational guidelines
  • Ensure timely collections within defined credit periods
  • Coordinate product deliveries and shipping schedules
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required

Experience & Qualifications

  • 810 years of proven sales experience in ophthalmology (IOL experience is mandatory )
  • Strong understanding of business practices within the ophthalmology segment
  • Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail

Education

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Ophthalmology

Travel

  • Travel as per business requirements
