Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a Sr. Manager / AVP Sales Strategy to drive Pan-India sales manpower strategy for a leading Life Insurance Company .

The role will focus on sales workforce planning, talent acquisition strategy, and capability enablement , while closely working with Regional Talent Acquisition Managers to ensure timely and quality hiring aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Manpower Planning (Pan India)

  • Design and implement Pan-India sales manpower strategy across Agency, Bancassurance, and other distribution channels.
  • Translate business growth plans into hiring roadmaps, productivity benchmarks, and manpower models .
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership, Business Heads, and HR to align hiring with sales strategy.

Talent Acquisition Strategy & Governance

  • Own the sales hiring strategy , frameworks, and policies at a national level.
  • Provide functional guidance to Regional Talent Acquisition Managers on sourcing strategy, hiring plans, and execution.
  • Track hiring efficiency, TAT, quality of hire, and attrition trends .

Regional Enablement & Execution Support

  • Support regional teams in solving talent supply challenges and improving conversion ratios.
  • Drive standardization of hiring processes across regions and channels.
  • Partner with TA teams on vendor strategy and recruitment campaigns .

Analytics, Productivity & Capability Building

  • Analyze manpower productivity, ramp-up timelines, and attrition to refine hiring strategies.
  • Build dashboards and MIS for sales hiring performance and workforce health .
  • Support training, onboarding, and early-life productivity initiatives for sales hires.

Candidate Profile

  • 815 years of experience in Sales Strategy / Sales HR / Workforce Planning within Life Insurance .
  • Strong understanding of sales distribution models (Agency, Bancassurance, Alternate Channels).
  • Prior exposure to sales hiring strategy and large-scale recruitment planning .
  • Experience working with regional teams and cross-functional stakeholders .
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and execution-oriented mindset.
