The Opportunity:

ERLPhase Power Technologies Ltd. is seeking a Sr./Lead - Hardware Developer for its Subsidiary,

Phase Power Protection Pvt Ltd in Bangalore. This role will Define the architecture of new hardware

products, working with sales, marketing, production, software and verification team members to

define requirements and specifications. Please find the detailed Job roles & required skills for the

Responsibilities:

Define the architecture of new hardware products, working with sales, marketing,

production, software and verification team members to define requirements and

specifications.

Design, selection and implementation of proprietary and 3rd party electronic modules,

including modification, redesign and development of new modules, incorporating

advanced high-speed microcontrollers, FPGAs, communication protocols and memory

interfaces, including DDR, SATA, PCIe

Development, implementation and trouble-shooting power supply and signal conditioning

systems, including switch mode power supplies, charge-pump, secondary power sources,

with associated power and thermal calculations/counter measures

Deign related to analog signal processing including differential inputs, amplification,

higher-order filters, signal-to-noise and CMMR ratio measurement and specification

Instrumentation transformer design for analog signal acquisition and processing, familiar

with core materials, flux density, saturation levels, burdens,

primary/secondary relationships and other aspects of transformer specification and design

low-speed, high-resolution analog chains with 16bit ADC and SCF and analog filtering

10+ years of experience in electronics hardware development, product architecture and

Team handling.

Knowledge on Microprocessor/Controller & ADC

Familiarity with multiple communications interfaces: RS232, RS485, I2C, SPI, Ethernet,

LCD, USB, DNP protocol, IEC61850, IEC103.

Experience with multi-layer Circuit & PCB Design Tools: OrCAD Capture, Allegro PCB

Tools: SAP Tool, Cadence, Schematic Entry, Library Symbol Creation (physical &

logical), PCB Design.

Experienced in Components Selection, Design documents preparation, Product ISO

Documentation, CE certification. Experienced in ATE (Automated Test Equipment),

Fixtures & SMPS. Knowledge on EMI, EMC and Environmental Type test.

Experience in operating Test Equipments (DMM, Scope, Power supply etc.)

Design in parts with a goal of 10+ years EOL

Understand and ensure product compliance with relevant industry standards (i.e. IEC

601255-1, IEC 60255-26, IEC 60255-27, etc.)

Design verification with documented test results

Supervise lab Type Testing and Debug any failures

Product hardware release management including generation of required documentation

Troubleshoot production defects and field failures in both analog and digital circuits

Use analysis to determine the best course of action in dealing with production problems

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure projects meet business objectives and standards.

Develop project plan and manage project timelines and tasks from inception through

completion.

Develop clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable designs. Write development

reports and manuals.

Update job knowledge by studying new development tools, design techniques, and

available parts.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree, or equivalent

combination of education and experience

10 to 15 years experience electronics hardware development and product architecture

Knowledge of Flash storage, and wear-levelling for SLC, PSLC, 3D TLC

Strong knowledge of LTspice, Orcad Capture, Cadence Allegro

Knowledge of programming languages including Python, and QNX or Linux BASH

scripts

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Familiarity with ERLPhase products and electrical power systems is a significant asset.
