Key Responsibilities of the position:
Sales Execution as per the delivery schedules defined in the purchase orders
Oversee the payment collection
Ensure on time and technically compliant and commercially competitive submission of bids
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
- Ensuring execution of orders received by Indian Railway Production Units, PSUs and Private
Organisations as per the timelines agreed during the order acceptance.
- Securing payments against all the orders executed within 30 days from the date of invoicing.
- Guide and oversee the bids prepared by the tendering team for completeness and correctness of
bids being submitted against various tenders published by Indian Railways
- Prepare a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly execution plan for all products based on the order
intake projections.
- Ensure that no liquidated damages are incurred on account of late supplies.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams for supply of material as per the agreed timelines and as
per customer requirement
- Interface with internal and external stake holders for activities like submission of techno
commercial offers, negotiations, order intake, sales execution, payment collection and after sales
support.
- Monitor the bidding activities and take responsibility for submission of a technically compliant and
commercially competitive bids towards all products and tenders published by Indian Railways.
- Device methodologies to improve the contract margins by working with sourcing, finance, supply
chain, engineering teams and relevant cross functional teams
- Review the costs for each product of Vande and Amrit Platform and propose and implement ideas
in optimizing the costs
- Actively participate in preparation of STRAP and Budget proposals for IR OE Sales & Marketing
Department
- Own and drive effective payment collection through regional teams and ensure the percentage of
overdue collections is always less than 5%.
- Ensure cash is collected within 30days from the date of invoicing
- Ensure timely submission of necessary letters, documents, approval requests etc to RDSO and
other customers
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of all documents related audits and reviews.
- Oversee and ensure necessary Purchase Requests and Purchase orders are released on the vendors
that are responsible for Installation and Commissioning activities related to the products being
supplied by OE IR. Also, ensure necessary PR/POs are raised against vendors who assist in Business
Development and Promotion activities.
- Take ownership in organising events and exhibitions at IREE, Innorail etc.,
- Prepare and monitor the expense budget for the department and ensure the expenses are never
crossing the approved budget

Required Candidate Profile
Education/Training: What education and education level are necessary for the position?
Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably in Electrical or Mechanical, MBA in Marketing will be an
added advantage
Professional Experience: How many years of professional experience in a specific professional area are required for the position?
Minimum of 12 – 15 years working experience with complete exposure to Indian Railways.
Should have vast knowledge about Indian Railway’s Procurement and Product introduction processes.
Should know all the nuances like local content calculations, PVC, Reverse Auctions, Quantity Distributions among the
approved vendors and developmental vendors etc., Sales Execution & Customer Relationship
Management roles is mandatory
Languages: English and Hindi are a must. Speaking and Understanding skill of South Indian Languages like, Tamil, Telugu and
Kannada will be an advantage.
Other Specifications: In addition to defined competencies and professional experience, the candidate must be highly
energetic, passionate, willing to learn & with highest level of integrity towards ethics and compliance

Sales & Marketing skills 12 to 15 years of experience in execution, tendering and S&M activities
Domain Knowledge – Indian Railways At least 10 years of work experience with interaction at all levels of officers pertaining to
IR Production Units
Communication & Presentation skills Excellent writing and speaking skills are mandatory
Negotiation skills, Ability to connect with customers High level – Minimum 8 on a scale of 10
Decision making ability, Leadership and Team working skills High level – Minimum 7 on a scale of 10
