Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

1. License Procurement & Renewals 

• Coordinate and process/ensure license applications for new store openings and location shifts (Shops & Establishment, Trade License, Signage, Factory Act where applicable). 

• Track renewal dates and initiate actions within stipulated time to avoid lapses. • Maintain and track master data of all locations with expiry dates,

pending renewals, and application status 

• Liaise with internal stakeholders and government departments for license-related approvals and clarifications. 

• Ensure license agreements between the correct entities (CL vs Business Partner) to support compliance audits. 

2. Compliance Dashboard Management 

• Maintain and update the compliance tracker and dashboards for all locations.

• Generate periodic reports for internal governance and highlight upcoming expiries, pendency, and action status. 

• Collaborate with Admin and HRBP teams to ensure real-time data accuracy on closure/shifting/opening of any new/old/existing location. 

3. Store & Location Audits 

• Coordinate internal audits and support external inspections across stores, factory, and offices. 

• Prepare audit documentation, follow up on audit findings, and ensure timely closure of non-compliance points. 

• Support audit-readiness across high-risk geographies. 

4. Labour Law Compliance & Manpower Governance 

• Monitor and track vendor compliance under CLRA, including RCs, Form V, wage adherence, and ESI/PF. 

• Maintain contractor documentation as per audit readiness. 

• Conduct vendor audits, issue NC reports, and follow up for closure. • Monitor OT/night shifts/week off’s across all locations. 

5. Documentation & Record-Keeping 

• Maintain updated digital and physical records of licenses, approvals, and inspection reports. 

• Ensure traceability and timely availability of all statutory documents for audit or inspection requirements. 

• Prepare and maintain annual returns. 

6. Stakeholder Coordination & Queries 

• Work with Admin, Store Operations, Legal, and Vendor partners for documentation and compliance support. 

• Follow up with state departments, municipal authorities, and consultants for on ground support. 

• Handle all HR operation & payroll queries , co-ordinate with the respective COE and close the queries. 

Key Success Metrics (KRA/KPIs): 

• 100% active licenses and timely renewals 

• Audit readiness across all operational locations 

• Accuracy and timeliness of compliance dashboard reporting 

• Timely closure of audit observations 

• No regulatory penalties or missed filings
