Sr. Engineering Manager (Angular & Front-end Technology)

About the Role: 

We are seeking an experienced Engineering manager to lead our front-end development team. S/He will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of 15 developers, PO and QA engineers focused on building scalable, high-performing, and elegant web applications using Angular for Open Blue Enterprise Manager. 

S/He will work closely with the Product Manager to understand the customer requirements, translate those requirements in features / stories, follow the agile development process to build the features and release for our customers. S/He will own, evolve, and scale our Elements Design System and reusable design library - ensuring design and UI consistency across the Open Blue Enterprise Manager

Key Responsibilities: 

• Team Leadership and People management
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 15+ front-end engineers, PO, QA etc. fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous learning
  • Drive career development, performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to the team members
  • Facilitate effective collaboration across cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Backend, UX)
  • Third party vendor management for Time & Material and Fixed cost engagements to ensure the quality and timely development of features
• Technical Leadership
  • Guide the team in architecting and delivering scalable, maintainable, and high-quality Angular applications
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of Elements Design System and reusable components library to ensure UI consistency and efficiency across Open Blue Enterprise Manager
  • Champion adoption of modern front-end development practices - accessibility, responsive design, performance optimization, code quality and automation testing
  • Be aware about the Product / Cyber security principles to continuously build secure apps
• Execution & Delivery
  • Partner with Product Managers and Designers to translate business requirements into elegant front-end solutions
  • Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of features while maintaining a balance between short-term impact and long term technical investments
  • Continuously improve the development workflow, release processes and productivity of the front-end team

  • Stay up to date with the emerging front-end technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices
  • Push the boundaries of UI/UX to deliver delightful, modern and accessible user experiences
  • Encourage experimentation, prototyping, and adoption of tools that enhance developer experience and application quality 

Qualifications: 

B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent

Experience: 

• 12+ years of professional front-end development experience with at least 3-5 years in a technical leadership / engineering management role
• Strong expertise in Angular (Preferably Angular 15+), Typescript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3
• Proven experience in building and scaling design systems and reusable UI component libraries
• Strong background in front-end performance optimization, accessibility, responsive design, cross-browser / cross-device compatibility
• Experience with modern tooling and CI/CD pipelines for front-end applications

Leadership skills: 

• Demonstrated ability to manage teams (10+) and complex development projects
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills
• Proven track record of balancing technical depth with strong execution and delivery
